It’s a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Easter. During Lent, we seek the Lord in prayer by reading Sacred Scripture; we serve by giving alms; and we practice self-control through fasting.

Paige Peck, a mathematics faculty member at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, was named the Utah State Pinball Champion in the Women’s Division, earning her a spot to represent Utah in the North American Championship Series in Lyons, Colorado on March 27.

The Lenten Parish Mission will be Monday-Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. each night at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. Following each evening’s presentation, Eucharist adoration will be offered until 8 p.m. Free; all are welcome.

A small group of students gathered outside Memorial Catholic High School on Feb. 12 to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) policies. The school had released all the students early that day for parent-teacher conferences.

A service to honor Linda's life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. A visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on February 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 3015 East Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, followed by interment at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City.
