The Office of Communications serves the mission of the Diocese of Salt Lake City by fostering clear, timely, and faithful communication within the diocesan community and with the wider public. We support parishes, schools, ministries, and diocesan offices by providing guidance, resources, and coordination for effective communication that reflects the Gospel, the teaching of the Church, and the pastoral priorities of the Diocese.

Through news, digital media, publications, and public relations support, the Office of Communications seeks to promote unity, transparency, and trust, while helping tell the story of the Church’s life and work throughout Utah. We are committed to ensuring that diocesan communications are accurate, respectful, and rooted in charity.

The Office of Communications also serves as the primary point of contact for media inquiries involving the Diocese of Salt Lake City. We work proactively with local, regional, and national media to provide accurate information, context, and timely responses on matters concerning the life of the Church. By assisting clergy, diocesan leaders, parishes, and ministries in their engagement with the media, we seek to ensure that public communications are truthful, respectful, and reflective of the Church’s mission, while fostering constructive relationships with journalists and news organizations.
