Michael Peter Cervino, Jr. was born March 14, 1942, in Paterson, New Jersey to Michael Peter Cervino Sr. and Josephine Marie Occhipinti. He died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 14, 2026, in Seattle from complications due to multiple myeloma. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to all. He was energetic, youthful, faith-filled and welcoming to everyone. He lit up a room and was often the life of a party.Michael grew up in Paterson and relished sharing memories of times spent with his Italian relatives there. His family later moved to Cincinnati, where he graduated from Xavier University in 1963 and met his wife, Bonnie Jeanne Pruden, whom he called “my bride” for 61 years. They married on January 23, 1965, in Cincinnati and moved to Salt Lake City the following year. Michael and Bonnie spent 50 years there raising their four children. He was an active member of St Catherine of Siena Newman Center and a founding partner in Cameron Construction Company, retiring in 2002. He and Bonnie loved to travel and took every opportunity to visit other countries.
