Position Start Date: July 1, 2026 Application Deadline: February 6, 2026 Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, a vibrant early childhood (18 months)–8th grade community committed to forming disciples of Jesus Christ through faith, academic excellence, and service, is seeking a faith-filled, visionary and collaborative principal to lead the school into its next chapter. The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing, an instructional leader dedicated to forming students spiritually and academically and a servant leader committed to fostering a joyful Catholic school culture. Position Description: Principal Reports to: Pastor, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and Superintendent, Diocese of Salt Lake City FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time Location: Sandy, Utah The principal serves as the spiritual, instructional and administrative leader of the school. The principal ensures a strong Catholic Identity, cultivates a high standard of academic excellence and builds a community rooted in faith, collaboration and shared mission to cultivate a solid Catholic education that empowers children to learn and grow from our Blessed Beginnings to their greatest aspirations. Key Responsibilities Spiritual Leader
Uphold the school’s mission as a ministry of the Catholic Church.
Foster a Christ-centered environment for students, faculty and families.
Support parents/guardians in their role as primary educators of their children.
Collaborate with the pastor and parish staff to strengthen the spiritual life of the school.
Serve as executive officer of the school advisory board and provide regular school updates.
Instructional Leader
Lead curriculum development, instructional improvement and assessment across all grade levels.
Ensure instruction meets the diverse needs of learners and promotes academic excellence.
Recruit, supervise, support and evaluate faculty and staff in alignment with diocesan standards.
Guide the school through the WCEA accreditation process and ensure ongoing progress toward school improvement goals.
Promote professional growth opportunities and maintain a culture of continuous learning.
Administrator
Oversee all school programs, including academic, extracurricular, faith formation, athletics and extended care programs.
Manage the school budget with transparency and responsibility, in collaboration with the pastor and advisory board.
Ensure effective use of personnel, facilities and resources.
Implement safety procedures, emergency planning and crisis response protocols.
Provide leadership in development, enrollment management, advancement and long-range strategic planning.
Communicator
Serve as the primary representative and ambassador of the school within the parish, community and diocese.
Communicate effectively and consistently with families, faculty, students and stakeholders.
Promote the mission, accomplishments and programs of the school to the broader community.
Implement diocesan policies and directives.
Qualifications
Practicing Catholic in good standing, committed to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church
Master’s degree in educational leadership, administration or related field
Minimum five years of successful teaching or administrative experience, preferably in Catholic education
Current administrative licensure or currently enrolled in a program to obtain administrative licensure
Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, lead collaboratively and inspire excellence
