The Utah Catholic Conference will be Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Skaggs Catholic Center, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.; Bishop Solis will preside at the opening Mass at 8:45 a.m.

The Christian initiation of adults in the Diocese of Salt Lake City is getting a boost from a groundbreaking initiative of Bishop Oscar Solis called the Worthy and Suitable Catechist appointment process.

As part of its journey through Utah, the Cross and Culture Relay will stop at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, for a 6:30 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
