On June 11, the U.S. bishops consecrated the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

If you visit the Center of Hope on a Saturday morning, among the volunteers distributing boxes of food to clients you are bound to see Laverne Anderson. A parishioner at St. Olaf’s in Bountiful, the 80-year-old has always had faith as her compass.

Judy Rohrbaugh began selling the soaps at the Bountiful Farmers Market, and before long expanded their presence there to every other week. She introduced customized gift bags, “God Bless You” hankies and inspirational notepads along with popular new scents like bourbon leather, eucalyptus, lemon, and watermelon alongside their signature Bear Lake Raspberry soap.

Jim loved helping the Carmelite nuns with their annual fair and holiday. Consequently, he will have a funeral mass at the Carmelite monastery and celebration of life at a later date.
